bad. bad. bad.

i am bad.

bad.

bad.

bad.

let this be a warning to everyone: i am a bad person.

trust me on this.

especially when i get drunk.. when my other "self" shows up and lets it all hang loose.. tsk.. tsk.. tsk..

it's either i'm too hard on myself or i'm just it. bad... with bad intentions.

you've been warned.. don't stand around my corner when i had one too many or else, you'll find out what i've been meaning to say... that i am bad!

'nuff said.

***

i miss my walkman phone, though... hard pill to swallow, but i gotta.. no choice, really.

***

since i already made it to 300lbs this early, time to set another goal: 400 is the new 300!

unfortunately, i have to accept the fact that both my bench press and standing military press had to take the back burner, and they will continue to lag for... sigh, God knows when..

my right shoulder's still feeling the crappers.. can't force it though as i might aggravate the injury s'more.. besides, i'm close to my "gym vacation" days... like in a week and for a week.. to be perfectly precise about it..

anyway, i'll make up for whatever deficiencies i have on other exercises.. the goal isn't really about aesthetics but for strength.. don't mind looking good after all the bangin', still.

dang, my core muscle hurt a lot today.

natural developmental occurrence

i just came from a wake.

the thought of going there just annoys me no end.. even more, that it is an obligation and not some kinda option.. it had to be done.

the dead: our former landlady.

cause of death: breast cancer.

now it isn't really cool to bring back the past, may the God Lord bless the landlady's soul, but during the many years we lived in our former place, it wasn't always "smooth and slick.."

let me count the ways...

- we can't have dogs while they can.. they live one apartment apart from our place

- they'll be on to you if you missed paying the rent for the month.. like every minute of everyday! okay, follow-up in the morning and another in the afternoon 'til you grow tired and weary you just have to find a way to shut them up

- we had a number of rows with them.. apartment issues such as repairs, rentals, renovations and stuff.. damn, too lazy to enumerate but you get the picture?

- aahhhh!!! too many times during the day that the place go loud cos "the landlords can't speak low!" not to mention, all those little tykes (grandchildren) of theirs keep running around and playing with other children from the neighborhood.. the place is teeny small and all that yelling just bounces off the walls to our apartment.. whew! that was quite and ordeal

- i almost had a brawl with her son-in-law for kicking our door in the middle of the night cos wifey parked our vehicle right up the ass' of theirs thereby blocking their passageway.. it's an "emergency" and they can't friggin' wait no more.. when i came looking for the asshole in the morning to sort things out, all the landlord's clan jumped on me verbally.. that's quite a scene, mind you

- we had some dubious deal with them in past.. like selling us a vehicle (that was our first, by the way) with a bloated price tag .. they practically took advantage of our being naive.. a few more similar incident happened 'til we finally got ourselves kicked in the head... wake up already!!!

got plenty of stories to tell, but heck, can't remember most now.. got bad memory for bad memories, homs.

whenever we meet with the landlord or any of the landlord's clan, i know they'd mendaciously greet us with their seemingly sincere "hi's & hello's..." but we know better.. well, frankly my dear, the feeling is mutual.

thus, whenever i am told by wifey that i should show my ass' at the wake, i'm not too excited to say, "Yes Dear.."

had been making excuses the last few days 'til just earlier i decided to get on with it and pay my last respect to a person i'd love to hate, forever...

so there, i saw her again.. and from this point.. i.. dunno what to say...

except..

R.I.P.

Forgiveness

hah!! can't listen to this one right now on my PC but i'm betting this is the one being played at Y101 FM station like a million times a day, and is the number one song of the week..

suffice to say, but i dig this too..

it's the wife

this is all about wifey..

guess what? wifey had been working out since months ago.. religiously at that! she makes it a point to hit the gym after work.. she's pretty consistent and i gotta say, bent on hitting the iron no matter what..

case in point: two days ago when she was out shopping for neil's clothing for his summer culminating activity, though she had a rough time at work, manages to shop and when i told her that we'd go buy some eggs (eggs are the main staple of my everyday meal) NOW, she replied, "not yet cos i still have to workout." then i told her to just skip it since we're running out of time.. and she said "no way! i'm gonna do this now.. good for you cos you're done doin' gym.. wait!"

so, you see how dedicated she is working out and she's not even fat. just by looking at her you'd know she's pretty lean but from her own words, she needed to tone herself up since she's got some loose skin on her arms, abs, legs... and she could use some nice ass while she's on it.. personally, she could use some ass workout.. yeah baby! yeah!

as of late, i checked on her arms and it's getting firmer.. not that firm you get when your fat but it's muscle baby.. muscles! and, her butt is starting to stick out.. her shoulders are up and her body is now evenly proportional... she's definitely hotter... lucky me!!

before, she was actually scared that she might look muscular, but after that bodybuilding show we've watched last month and looking at those curvy ladies posing who're using steroids, by the way, her apprehensions disappeared and her resolve to do strength training multiplied by leaps and bounds... in fact, she'd love to join one in the future.. sheesh! slow down, tiger!

now that she's soooo into it, she's asks me for pointers and all but since we workout in different gyms (gotta be convenient to our place of work) i can only "demo" here how to go around doing the the butt enhancer exercises: squat and deadlift.

unfortunately, she's lifting puny weights so i advise her to up it a wee bit more.. y'know, enough weight she can carry and perform at high repetitions.. that's her program in the gym.. not mine.

anyway, i have no doubt in mind that she can do all that strength training and not look freakishly muscular.. even those gals who're on steroids could barely look like that, much less, her... either way, i find muscular women sexy.. jennifer garner and jessica biel both look hot in those bods, agree?

yeah, something like that...

this may come late but happy mother's day, wifey!

you've got balls?

i'm in pain... damn, i had a minor accident in the gym earlier!

actually, i hate doing chest workout. it is during the pressing on the bench that the pain multiplies a million times.. i was also in a hurry to get to my top set.. puny 210 lbs... what can i do? i tried to save time by minimizing my warm ups, so, instead of a 40lb increments, i went for 70... not that i can't do it but deep inside i knew i had something "coming..."

so it came down hard and fast.. what do you know, it's my right hand that got tangled with the bench's bar peg.. my fault.. my fault.. but it would've been avoided had i had a stronger spotter (help)... the kid who spotted me.. dang, he's just a kid.. a teener at best.. not only my ego got bruised but my knuckles too.. a minor concussion here and there.. superficial, i hope.

bad idea.. bad idea..

hhhaaaaaa!!! can't wait for my week-long vacation... you recall me hoping that i'd be injury-free last post/s i had, right? cos i might not make it to the day i was hoping to R&R.. instead it'll be an early vacation.. God forbid!

tomorrow? i'll probably taper down.. but wait! where's the challenge in that?

it's a scary thought but i'm actually gonna work my legs and lower back again... and i'll try to make it to 300lbs... i hope i can report back here tomorrow.. exaggerating? maybe but tell you what, i haven't in my whole life squatted a 300lb weight.. it's not something i'm excited to do or look forward to, but i'm gonna whip myself to overcome it.. it's a nagging itch that i gotta scratch off my back..

whatever.

gimme more!

more rain!!!

weeeeeeee!!!!

i'd love to go shower in the rain... *grinning*

i don't know if we'd push through but there's a plan among my officemates that we'd go outing somewhere south.. not hoping for anything, though.. i'm fine both ways.

summer's almost over but we haven't hop some islands yet... shesh, that's the only thing i'd care to do this season.. well, that's aside from bangin' iron.. yawn.

finally, i know how to grow my biceps... it's a little intricate and technical but it gets the job done.. what i've learned is this: muscle growth is boundless.. if you just know the fudge factor.. you like those new vocabularies? bet you don't know the meaning, eh? hee.. hee... here's the meaning..

anyway, i tried soooo many ways but it all came down to one simple solution: pull-ups and chins... easy, huh? try hanging yourself to the nearest beam you can find then pull yourself up... you want a little bit of challenge? put some weights on your body, like a backpack loaded with books or whatever you can put some weights on... now, if you have trouble pulling yourself up with your own bodyweight, skip the challenge already, will ya!

now feel which muscles are doin' most of the work..

nuff with the tips, pansy.

experiment and figure something out that works for you...

are we good?

****

when i came down to post this sh!t, i had a good grasp of what i'm gonna say.. only to deviate once again.. i do that all the time...

like a million times already!

so

before

i'm

gone..

here's

a

song

for

ya...

impermanent

rain rain don't go away please come again another day....

love the rain.. don't mind if it rains all day... miss the sunshine, though.

happy birthday to maridren and dexter... two of my ex-colleague.. even though they ( or we are) a world apart in so many ways, i have to say.. i miss your company, guyz..

meanwhile, i got a message from my pal, lui yesterday.. he's coming home soon.. i replied, "would it be OK if i go out and wear sleeveless shirt in your bar?" then i went on to finish my message with "i'll see your big, black ass soon paker!" he replied by saying "you still workin' out, cio? you bet my ass' black cos i've been burned out here!"

looking forward dude... i miss this friend, too!

many, many posts ago, i mentioned him here... he was the guy who influenced me in so many things and he is one of the reasons why i made a big turnaround with my life.. you want me to spill everything out again? nope.. nada.. you gotta do some digging around here cos i'm tired babysitting people.. you gotta a problem with that? sue me!

so, i've heard that everything had been totally "quits" on his married.. heard it yeah, but not from him though, thank you..

just sad.. really sad.. but i'm not here to judge, condemn or fix things.. in fact, if anything, i'll zip it.. but here's hoping for the best.. for all my friends out there.. please.. do.. try.. to make it work.

in a perfect world everything would have been "... and they lived happily ever after." but it ain't, so we roll with the punches.. suck it up and just live and let live..

whatever.

nuff said.

switchin' channel...

#$&^*(#~!

200 lbs

280 lbs

first i broke another personal record yesterday... those figures above are for my front and back squat, respectively.

lovely, eh?

i'm gonna cruise through 300 lbs before the year is over.. i can smell it.. but not before suffering a lot.. as in a lot of pain, homs..

that 300 number i'm aiming for is the number that will motivate me throughout the year.. while some people had gone back to their "old ways" like totally abandoning training (saw some people in the forums asking for a "kick" to get motivated again), i will press on.. there's no turning back... whatever it takes, this is one goal i want to pursue, get done and accomplish.

two more weeks of devouring iron and it's time to fall back again.. de-load.. relax.. chill... smell the flowers... hhhmmmmm...

hope i don't injure myself..

love flowers.... yum! yum!

focus

i gotta write this...

i gotta write this...

i gotta write this...

i gotta write this...

nah, tomorrow can wait..

goodnight.

aim

hhhmmmm... i didn't had an inkling i would stir a bit of controversy when i asked about a certain supplement in one forum.. love the exchange of ideas, homs.. keeps me sharp and the learning, priceless.

this is one reason why i have to keep myself abreast with whatever discussions happening in the world wide web.. i dig learning and trying to figure things out.. discovery channel is the first of the channels i'd click.. sometimes, i'd stay up late just to finish up on some detective stories.. sheesh, if only i was good with words i'd be all over articulating myself.. speaking my mind..

incidentally, i was watching that discovery travel series about millionaire people.. how they've become and how they spent their millions.. whoa!

i'd kill for that position.. but kidding aside, i am searching and looking at what exactly are my interest and the things i'd love to do that would make me pursue it to the end, and eventually, will one day feature me in that channel... dream on, hombre!

musing on...

presto!

ironman, i love it!

watched it last night with wifey and neil.. t'was pretty, i suppose. i've had some ironman magazines back in the days.. so, having seen the movie was somewhat nostalgic but at the same time, awesome to see "mr. tin man" is, after all, human beneath all that high-tech titanium and gold, well, iron shield.

i could probably watch it ten times more and not grow tired of it...

later on..

ryan, our new sales dude (i think he is the 512th sales guy we've hired since day one) texted that we'd have a couple of beers... sweet.

i was hesitant cos it's around 10 in the evening already and i presume they must've been binging since earlier.. anyway, i went after he gave a friggin' runaround directions (must have been the beer or whatever) to find two lovely ladies.. the shmuck dated two ladies! one was his ex-girlfriend and the other, he just recently met and knew.. apparently, she was our customer!

what can i say, the dude works fast!

i'm not really comfortable hanging around strangers.. much more, a client!

anyway, we had some beers and ivy (our customer) had pineapple juice... hhmmmm playin' safe, huh? the ex-gf was cool with the beer... one, two, three, four beers... damn, i'm having trouble getting drunk...

and i'm bored.

videoke is boring for me... more beer please!

i had a "green light" from wifey to "morning the night" away but sheesh, i'd rather go home... no plans to get laid at all (as if i will be.. assuming!)... my testosterone ain't bugging me, and besides, i worked my legs earlier, thus, i'm tired.

had to make a lot of excuses just to escape, and tho the ladies and ryan tried to sway me to stay on, it was all for naught as i made up my mind to bail out, no matter what...

sorry... sorry... sorry...

this is the new me, homs.. everything is set including the limits... i've been saying "NO" now.. it wouldn't hurt if i say it a million times more.. prepare to get pawned!

on the other hand, it wouldn't be "appropriate" if i get drunk and wasted in the presence of a client with whom i'll be seeing more often in the office.. if she was drinking then maybe we'd be on equal footing... we'd rather be both guarded than embarrass ourselves later..

ryan can!

***

as for the gym "chronicles..." har.. har.. har..

it was soooo tempting to work the shoulders and back again but i felt i needed to rest 'em... pacing dawg... pacing..

well, aside from doing a lot of pulling and presses the last few days and feeling a pang of pain underneath my shoulder blades, i felt i needed to back down in order to prevent an "early vacation." remember, i have to take a break in the last week of May.. not tomorrow or next week!

it's also worth mentioning that for the last few weeks, i had been training even on Saturdays... yet i've been ranting since time immemorial that the farting bug called "wear and tear" had catch up with "the old man."

so, in choosing between rest and retire.. your guess is as good as mine, sweetie.

meanwhile, time to sulk in the corner...

lets talk about sex.. baby

geeez... resident coach said "this fella is one strong animal!"

ok, not exactly but something to that effect. i can only count with my one hand the strong folks in my gym... modesty aside, i probably rank in the top three.. resident coach just watches me in awe as i easily hoist, push and pull those irons up and down..

but..

it's not always what it seems.. that everything's easy.

joint pains and sore muscles, for starters.

and, whenever i get inside the gym, first feeling i get is how tiring it's gonna be... then, as i start stretching (boy, you should watch me stretch cos this routine alone gets me sweaty already) i'm already laying out the "blueprint" for the day's workout.... too much brain works, momma.. hate this part!

when i gear up (uhm, this is the part where i put on my make-up, lipstick, eyelashes... joke!), instinctively, everything just falls into places... this is the part where "i'm in the zone" and i feel like i'm in my "fortress."

i would've love to swagger my way inside and bully all those pencil-necks, but that's just not the way i am... i don't make eye contact and i always keep my head down... cos i have a mission: get in, get down to business and get out.

otherwise, if this iron thing would have been like Friendster where we can all socialize, customize and multiply-ze... then life would have been boring.

why boring, you ask? cos i said so.. just.

this isn't some kinda democratic blog.. this is martial law and i rule this place, so whatever i say, stands. got that? capish? intiendes?

good.. good..

excuse me for deviating...

but really, you go to those "high end" gyms and you'll find a lot of people yapping instead of lifting... chatting instead of rowing... smiling instead of grunting... text-ing instead of sweating.. playing instead of panting...

you like how i constructed those words up there? you should cos my brain was about to burst figuring 'em up.. ahhhh, you don't? not my problem, winnie!

this is really non-sense here.. my apologies for this worthless post... not a grain of truth... non-sensical.. crap!

the title is a scam!

hick!
whew!! the rain is falling hard...

anyhoo, i'm a big fan of T-Nation... obviously, as you can see in my banner.. so i kinda like this article by TC.. and quite frankly, a number of this "30 Things..." are right on the money, homs... like bullseye!

here goes,

30 Things Women Don't Know About Men

1. Our balls are living thermostats, rising up and down in accordance with body temperature and climactic conditions. In fact, the astute female would do well to study this phenomenon as a man's balls provide the most accurate meteorological information possible. For instance, if a man's left testicle is hanging down four centimeters, it means that skies will be sunny and clear, the high will be 82 degrees, and sunset will be at 6:35 PM.

2. When you get out of bed to go to the bathroom, we put your panties over our noses and start breathing in deeply like the Dennis Hopper character in "Blue Velvet."

3. Our idea of a self-help book is TV Guide.

4. Our penises really do have minds of their own. They also have a nifty little timeshare of their own in the Hamptons. On any given weekend, you can see scores of them out there water-skiing, antiqueing, or lunching on fajitas.

5. If you have any videotapes that contain precious memories, do yourself a favor and knock out that little plastic tab. Otherwise, when our friend lends us a really hot porn video and we want to copy it, we wouldn't think twice about recording over our wedding video.

6. We fantasize about having the ideal family, but our ideal family is the Sopranos. Take for instance your sister. If she started yapping about her latest boyfriend or complaining about why we don't get "a real job," we'd have Pauly or Big Pussy rub her out.

7. We masturbate all the time when you're not around. In fact, house dust is nothing but desiccated semen.

8. Contrary to what we tell you, "little elves" have not stolen all of your Victoria's Secret Catalogs. In truth, we've stolen them all from your night stand for the last 10 years and they're piled up in our sock drawers.

9. When we're alone in the house, we grunt, forage for food, and scratch our bodies unashamedly. In fact, when we're alone, our behavior is pretty much indistinguishable from that of Dian Fosse's beloved mountain gorillas

10. While we like the card you bought us for Valentine's Day, we'd much rather that you shaved your pubes into a little heart and hid chocolate Easter eggs in there, thereby killing two holidays at once.

11. Perfume is fine, but if you really want to drive us wild, rub a gooey cinnamon bun over your neck and ears.

12. For every stuffed animal or ceramic turtle decorating the bedroom, the angle of our erections drops one degree.

13. Chances are, we've stuck our dick through any remotely round object in the house, so you may want to wash out the napkin rings before you set the Thanksgiving dinner table.

14. We pray that your birthday or our anniversary doesn't fall on the day the new "Star Wars" movie opens up, or for that matter, when the NBA playoffs begin, or when it's the day of the Super Bowl, or the first game of the World Series, or the day of the NFL draft, or when TBS is showing "Lethal Weapon" for the 80th time, etc.

15. If we watch "Felicity" with you, it sure as hell ain't because of the story line. The truth is, that curly-haired little vixen kinda' turns us on.

16. There's a small erogenous zone about the size of a dime up our right nostril. No, no, forget what Cosmo tells you about our erogenous zones. We've got one. It's 5 to 7 inches long, slightly reddish and angry looking, and we prefer you address it as Shamu, Conan, or Two-Ton Tony.

17. Our idea of ballet is the gun battle in any John Woo movie.

18. Screw the romantic meal and the mood music. If you want to be laid properly, screw a red light bulb into your bedside lamp. Either that or just show up.

19. Our tear ducts are largely vestigial organs, but they do spout a few paltry tears when Old Yeller dies at the end of the movie, and when we learned that Denise Richards is getting married to Charlie Sheen.

20. We don't like it when your dildo is bigger than we are, not that that's possible, no siree, no way.

21. The Corpus Spongiosum is not Chrysler's follow-up to the LeBaron.

22. The next time you want to criticize us, please remember that, unlike you, we'll never experience the miracle of birth. (Like we care.)

23. Your Ricky Martin CD is cracked because we used it to prop up our TV dinner tray when you were visiting your mother.

24. Most of us would give up a week's pay just to see you in your bra.

25. Men have a sense of smell that's over 1,000 times more sensitive than yours. Oh, wait a minute, I was thinking about dogs. Never mind.

26. We have trouble urinating at ball games. This is either because the alcohol in the beer has caused our prostates to swell (thereby impeding the flow of urine); because the bladder has been stretched too far by all that beer and won't contract properly; or because we have "Shy bladder syndrome," a psychological condition that causes our urinary sphincters to tighten up and prevent our bladders from contracting. Or, it could be that we just forgot to unzip our pants.

27. If it weren't for women nagging us, we'd never go to the doctor. Ever. Even if we had an ice pick imbedded in our right eye.

28. Things we find beautiful: a double play; a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth; a game-winning three-pointer with no time left on the clock; an 80-yard TD pass in overtime; and oh yeah, sunsets and stuff, I guess.

29. We have much greater upper body strength than women, but our breasts aren't nearly as nice.

30. If we're single, we desperately want to be married. If we're married, we desperately want to be single. Please kill us now.

just

oh my!

i was hoping i could work my back and biceps today but as luck would have it(or the lack thereof) i only had biceps instead.. i guess all that hanging in the bar (pull-up and chin-up) toasted my forearms and well, biceps... thus, it's next to impossible pulling some more weight after my, uhm, i'll say it again, biceps start nagging on the latter part!

it's just a small muscle group but shoot the dang thing got me soooo exhausted after a few sets.. easy, eh? actually, not. i did three exercises in progression.. kinda like doin' push-ups then sex and then immediately do jump rope.. get the picture? yeah, yeah i know it's getting green around here but i'm not horny yet.

i guess the "hangover" of yesterday's leg and shoulder routine got the better half of my energy... but, there's no way i can expect to go all out every time cos bubba here is getting old... *cough* *cough*

no biggy.. we all do.

i think i'm gonna need another week of break from all the bangin'... most probably, last week of this month.. gotta heal and chill... relax again... this time, i can't wait!

sign out.

jinky

standing military press @150 pounds

front squat @190 pounds

back squat @270 pounds

shrugs @210 pounds

and that was yesterday, homs, when i'm suppose to be still reeling from a wild drinkin' weekend.. wonder what my numbers would have been had it been otherwise?

today i am tired and sleepy... but i'll hit the gym later and work my back and biceps... i dig challenges.. i'll work my way up.. tell ya that!

my abs sored a bit even though i didn't do any direct ab workout.. well, i hit my core muscles doing those i mentioned above.. two birds with one stone, nice!

yawn....

i needed that image to jolt me off my seat, homes..

too sleepy here..

packing heat

lemme see if i can find an easy way getting back into the swing of things... cos i just had a drunken weekend, thank you!

yeah, for two days i had alcohol supplementation instead of branched chain amino acid, creatine, zinc-magnesium-calcium and fish oil. great, huh?!

well, not my idea of fun really but hey, we all could use a little break from all that everyday run-of-the-mill mambo-jumbo thingy we've all grown accustomed to.. just my thought, anyway.

ok, so we spent a night in the beach practically in a huff; we didn't thought it out or had prepared in advance.. spontaneous, baby!

it was good 'til the booze lasted, alright. we had wifey's friend and family with us... her hubby (wifey's friend's) was into the iron game so we had a grand time sharing notes... gotta say my 'sangay' (namesake) is way, way stronger than me.. hands down!

well, that is base on what we've discussed.. uhm, like how much he can lift.. yadi yada... i dunno.. i'm not that confident to say that i look better than him but damn, the dude snores like hell! even though we drank the same amount of alcohol, his snoring caused me to wake up way earlier than expected of a drunken mister... then, i was told by "my people" that i was as quite as a lake... whoa!

some lady actually had a "hots" for me on the night we boozed up.. a male foreigner approached me and told me "that lady over there likes you.."

geeezz, i still pack some "mojo" eh, i supposed. anyway, i had one too many drink/s i must be dreaming or something but truth to be told, the lady walk up to me and said "hi."

shoot! what am i gonna do? i'm here with family, wifey included.. there's no way i can fool around with the "tiger" just around the corner of my eye.. so, instead of saying "hey, you want sex?" err, i mean, say "hello," i opted to say bluntly, "but i'm married!"

waaaaahhhhh!!!!

wrong place at the wrong time, bubba... tough luck, indeed.

and she says "i know you're married.. it's OK." then i step a wee bit farther from her to sorta "gulp" some beer.. then she went away and had some dancing.. actually, there was a party near our room as somebody celebrated a debut.. an 18 years old and ripe for the picking.. yum! yum!

joke.

so there. she went her way and was dancing around with her girls and boys friend while i salivated watching 'em gyrate right in front of me.. whew!

then...

she came back to where i was at and whispered "which one is your wife?" and i said, "you see that foxy lookin' lady, white complexion, nice hair, sexy bod and appears ferocious? that's her."

and she said, "ah, OK!"

since i already guzzled enough booze to fill a car's tank, every memory i had since that moment had been hazy 'til i remembered clearly how i went down the mat and lost consciousness... like a log, mate.. like a log.

anyway, it was nice in the morning since i managed to swim a few meters and had a "strong performance" out there in the beach. i guess all that workout translated to a stronger paddle for my arms... it's cool to know that even though i'm not getting any younger i can still swim as fast and as quick as my heydays... not too many people can claim to do that.

beach is best in the morning... the water's calm and clear.. lovely!

meanwhile, gotta go work, do some gym time later and then chill...

moil!!

peso bill

i've been meaning to write since earlier.. i just couldn't gather my thoughts. had a lot of reading early on and all were interesting i have to shuttle in-between tabs..

BAD TRIP

that's how i felt after getting some feedback from accounting that i seem to not care following-up my cash advances for the client's documentation processing as i seem to "not in dire need of money.."

HWHAT???!!!

i think i just posted earlier here how i need some serious cash flowing through my wallet (or pocket if you may) since i gotta lot of bills to pay, thanks to credit cards and supplements!!

yeah, yeah... how nice of them to assume, eh?

i would gladly sell the contents of my wallet for a grand.. wait, the license and some IDs could cause more than that for duplication.. uhm, maybe.. make it two grand.. please!

well, i can't go on cringing with whatever they think of me.. just live and and let live, mondo!

then some BUMMER in the GYM...

top my day!

some guys just can't accept the fact that all my lifts are becoming "routine" now. for them, it's next to impossible to do. this is really one of my dilemma.. as much as possible i want to be invisible to everyone.. like being "low profile" or unnoticeable.. as you can see, this blog barely has picture/s of me.. but then, i have a goal... it's not something many people do especially in the gym. most guys just go and lift and do all that barbell curl to "grow some bicep and impress the chicks" thingy.. i, on the other hand do a lot of compound exercises as they give me bigger bang for my buck.. then do some finishing exercises like the famous curls and all that isolation exercises.. y'know, the "detailing" kinda exercise.

so, these "primitive" folks in my gym, since they can't match me strength-wise, they'd end up teasing me like "dude watch your back you might break it" or "steroids!!!" or screws around when i'm doing some heavy work.. now, if you're in a situation like mine wherein you could literally snap your back doing heavy squats or deadlifts and there's this guy who basically lifts the same amount of weight each time(read: measly), makes unnecessary cheap shot when i'm in the middle of completing my exercise, that's crazy and downright stupid.. to think this moron who had been way, way "advance" than me as he was there long before i started working out, should know when to screw around and when to get serious... must be the reason why his man-boobs hasn't vanished after all of those chest exercises he does... cos he's a fuck-up around the gym! there, i said the "f" word.

sowi.

anyway, ignorance is a bliss.. indeed! if you stop smiling or entertaining their corny/lousy jokes, they'll go away, eventually.

of course, when they see how heavy my lifts had become, they don't have much choice but to give respect where respect is due.. whose your daddy now, bitch??

quite frankly, these guys (save for some) will be lifting those puny weights 'til they'd realize how they've come so far and yet so wrong.. no gain whatsoever.. cos much of the things they do are for "detailing" and muscles don't respond well to isolation exercises.. no matter how hard you do all that barbell curls and french press, your arms won't grow much nor your chest would develop, pencil neck!

do some reading and eat well.. then you might have a chance..

and did you know your muscle grows when you give it a rest?

thus..

all is well that ends well...

NOT!!!

my situation is really hard.. tell you that..

softhead surrounds me these days... non-sensical when you talk to them.. better talk to a stone, at least, it stays still and wouldn't budge.. not that i mind if someone does but at least, they listen and listen well.

yeah, yeah.. life is what you make it.

moving on..

i need money!!! HELP!!!

for real.

i guess all that surging oil, rice and those friggin' basic commodities are starting to hurt my pocket real good.. like my wallet is on a very strict diet now...ggrrrrr!!

heck, i need some serious money-generating scheme to get me outta this stinkin' foxhole, dammit!

“goosfraba....”

“goosfraba....”

“goosfraba....”

ok, ok.. i'm relax now.. chilled to the bone..

don't wanna stress myself with that... life's too short, homs..

anyway, i'm happy to be able to do some serious "dipping" yesterday.. i had to take this exercise off my routine cos my shoulder hurts and i'm having trouble executing it without nearly fainting near the end...

but it's back!

ok, i'm not getting any lighter but i sure am getting soooo much stronger cos i can now do more pull-ups and chin-ups... that's aside from the dips, momma!

great!

those exercise mentioned above is one way to measure what a "real guy" a man is made, honey.. if he can't carry himself, much less, you.. plain and simple.

once when i started working my close-grip bench press, my tricep started to get stronger and stronger.. then i also needed to work on my weak points.. those that i mentioned above, they were a burden for me to do.. it's hard to pull myself up and so much harder to push myself up (dips) that's why i never like those darn exercises.. thus, in order for me to improve, i needed to really concentrate on them.. like doing 'em almost every other day!

by the way, my deadlift had reached 300lbs since three weeks ago.. so stale, eh? my squat is a work in progress (50lbs more and it'll be 300!) while my bench press (peg at 200lbs, 220lbs with some sissy spotter) would probably improve as i do more dips week-in, week-out... i'll add weights to my dips as time progress.

yet, i'm not even having the best supplement the planet can offer.. like those guys at a bodybuilding show last Saturday night. dude, they look like monsters! they epitome the meathead folks down under..

gotta look for some image/s of that competition somewhere.. sucks actually.. cos we didn't have our dang camera that night!!

UPDATE:

now here's the LINK.

thanks, dick!

wazzup?? wazzup??

nah... nothing much..

except for some serious row with wifey and family... and, some crap still hanging on my shoulders.. everything's fine, thank you.

ok, i'm drunk.. gotta STOP this madness called "blogging.."

but really, the row was nasty i just want a legal separation like pronto!!... vanish and start all over.. it's that BAD, homs...

gotta drink s'more... drown my, uhm, predicament then hope that when i wake up or when the smoke clears, everything will be brand new... clean and dandy... like everything was just a bad dream..

keep chowing down, though.

OUT.

long story, short

whoa!

nice to end the week with a bang, eh!

both work and "play." i call my training "play" cos i enjoy the exhilaration, the gasping for air and the soaking sweaty feeling.. not to mention, the pain during and after the session..

i know.. i know..

it's sickening to be me.. haha!

Neil, my son is taking summer classes.. some language, speed math and some arts. i haven't seen him for quite sometime being excited in school... only now.

actually, he studied at STI since grade I, if my memory serves me right. i think they have a nice system going there.. quite advance for an elementary, but....

what's abominable about the whole thing is they don't have a lot of experienced teacher. meaning, they don't know how to deal with kids like Neil whose a hyper and a little bit on the naughty side.

not only that, they give assignments that literally makes the parents (or whoever that is) do the teacher's job. several pages of this subject, a few here, a tad there.. man, are they kidding?!

what's more, the kid won't have time to play anymore since he'll immersed doing all that BS school work at home.. basically, what they're doing is taking away the fun of going to school.

since both me and wifey are too busy with our own work and business, respectively, we opted to hire a tutor who teaches at their school, but only to find out that they didn't do some assignment or finish their much needed lessons to be studied... cos they "ran out of time.."

so, given that Neil's score and grades are declining steadily, expectedly, his self-confidence went downhill from thereon.. what added more pain to injury, we as parents were pretty much remiss in our duty to monitor his activities in school... why is that you ask? our home is pretty far away from where we work so we barely visits his teacher and keeping tracks of his activities in there..

he practically made a 360 degree turn in terms of his performance as well as his behavior that i was just complete taken aback by the feedbacks i get from his teachers.

my God, we've created a monster!!!

joke.

anyway, the problem was compounded by a lotsa things and i, his father, take responsibility for whatever he's become. but, the school's system made things even worst.

get this, the first honor student would sleep around 1am just to finish her homework. she's an honor student alright but geez, where's the fun there? and here's more, the second honor student's mom swayed us to move with them to another school cos she can no longer stomach doing all the "teaching" through the assignments passed on by the teacher.. she ends up yelling her kid when he doesn't get the lesson right away, and in her most frustrating moment, hurts him.

there's still plenty of story to tell here but i gotta save that for tomorrow... cos i'm dead tired, homs.

ciao!

PS

forgive the typo errors... i'm about to ZZzzzzzz

John Wayne

this is not good... at least for my workout schedules.

i've been hitting the gym a little later for quite sometime now. not only it gets jam packed in there, deep in the night i'd have trouble getting a good night sleep.

i dunno, so don't ask me why!

thus, my rest and recovery: jeopardize.

hhhmmmm... need to devise a new plan, bud.

meanwhile, earlier, i only worked the abs. though it's tempting to "get down to business" right away (read: heavy duty lifting), but i opted to back off.. in two days time (monday & tuesday) i already accomplished all exercises that i need to get done for the week... yesterday, in fact, i had a killer workout.. i hit my shoulders, biceps and back.. i was sweating all over and i bet i stink!

i hate elaborating but doing back exercises alone could zap your energy within minutes, thus, throwing in some shoulder and bicep exercises into the mix could literally kill you... felt like i'm close to vomiting yesterday.. not to mention, my head started to ache a little bit.. i believe holding my breath often during the execution of heavy exercise/s led to that nauseating, achy feeling..

anyhoo, i really could use the challenge.

overall, it was good.. and that's the reason i need to rest most muscles, joints, tendons, etc. today in order to promote healing and growth...

but...

tomorrow, all hell will break loose again in the gym... watch me as i unleash all my powers! GGggRRrrRRrr!!!! AaaWWWooo!! AaaWWWooo!!

just psyching myself up, homs.. you should watch me here slapping my face! haha!

in the meantime....

gotta watch The Contender Asia later...

so, GO!!!

i must.

fud

thank you for the rain good Lord. it's been hot since the summer started and any rain that come my way, even if it literally pours down on me while riding on my bike or it would cause some serious drippings in our house' ceiling.. thanks to some screw up from whoever that is... still and all, thank you for the rain, God.

now, i'd love to open up with all of you out there whoever you are, but unfortunately, i'm sooo bad at "story-telling" only my son, Neil subscribes to my BS... whenever i put him into sleep he would beg me to continue the "series" of my invented story and would intently listen 'til i say, "To be continued..."

so seriously, i just suck in that department.

thus, when i bumped into Bryan's blog last saturday, i was just blown away. i mean, the guys speaks from the heart, unadulterated, so raw, wide open and "in-your-face" kinda way i got hooked the moment i started reading...

on the other hand, i also like to keep a lot of things to myself... sooo many things. when it's time to "come out" and spill everything out, then i can honestly say "I am free."

and yeah, i'm too lazy and too tied up with so many personal issues i wouldn't wanna say a "tell-all-tale" half assed... thus dishing out something too personal for yours truly entails a lot of effort and finesse to even start somewhere.. sigh.

i am also torn between privacy and being liberated... 'til i figure that out, i'll continue whining this way... tu capisci?

that's italian, homs..

time to zip it.

lemme redirect you...

i don't care if you'd STOP reading my blog in lieu of THIS one... he just started blogging last month and reportedly, his site's hits already reached millions!

whoa!

mine's just a fraction of that.

puny.

now get on with..

and have fun!

P.S.

it's best if you start reading from the very beginning to know the background of the whole mess.. err, i mean, story.

you know the drill, right?

..or do i have to spell it out for you?

euphemism

what the hell is going on with the world today?

soaring gas prices...

rice shortages...

prices of basic commodities will also rise very soon...

people masturbating in public?

gangs shooting on each other and innocent bystanders...

teenage pregnancy on the rise (our place would probably rank in the upper half)..

traffic all over the place..

etc.. etc.. etc..

man, man, man!!!

some bad luck is on a rampage here... or is it even luck?

tsk.. tsk..

guess the world is being sodomized, eh?

or maybe it's the wickedness?

aaahhhhh... whatever..

somehow reading all this stuff and actually experiencing the difficulties first hand just bums me out and messes up my day... not to mention, my work had been increasingly taxing it's getting strenuous to get things done... must be the reason why i've been constantly late for work for months now, thus the memo..

getaway from me, Satan!!!

...switching channel in a huff.

Important Announcement

soooo many thoughts flying around my brain... but.. i'll collect 'em all later.. gotta work.. then sweat.. then maybe.. if i still have some mojo left.. i can.. uhm.. maybe get myself together.. summon some strength from thee Almighty.. and post something relevant..

..other than this CRAP you're reading... gotcha! *wink* *wink*

Bleeding Love

love this song...

what can i say... i'm in touch with my feminine side, homs...

If I Had Eyes

reminds me of my pal, Louie... he kinda look and move like Jack..

meat is a good

ON.

now that's what i call an explosive performance!

yeah.. yeah.. i worked it earlier and it was better.. sooo much better than yesterday. the drawback, well, it had to be done otherwise i'd over train my chest and shoulders, so i only had "pull" workouts today...

looking forward to get some good massage later.. i really, really could use one.

it's actually routine for me many Saturdays since... getting a full body massage is heaven, homs..

go ahead, reward yourself... have a good one, beyb..

gotta clear my head and get myself together now.. my testosterone level at this point is just way down low..

OFF.

gibberish

off... my workout today was totally OFF!

i was advise by my conscience to take a rest but i went on and hit the dang iron again... why the rest, you ask? cos i hit my shoulders really hard yesterday.. like there was no tomorrow, that's why!

well, i didn't thought it was that much work i did cos i do these things week-in, week-out.. i guess yesterday was an exception.. it definitely is one helluva routine i did and i'm still reeling from the muscle pain right now..

i might hit the gym again tomorrow as i wasn't satisfied with my workout earlier... usually i take weekends off but since Monday is a holiday and my erstwhile performance was a so-so, i'm seriously thinking about a grand training soon... uhm, yeah, like tomorrow?

what i've been doing now is a tad different and a little bit out of ordinary.. whereas people in the gym usually do a few sets and repetitions then take loads of rest, i do the opposite... i do more sets and repetitions then minimize rest.. now that just fries my muscles like frankfurter.. in fact, the sore feeling doesn't subside sooner than expected... and yet i've been hitting the gym for over a year now and as most people in my gym expects, they or their muscle had adapted to the constant stimulation.. but that's not how it's supposed to work, numskull! NO! NO! NO!

when your muscle is able to adapt, it wouldn't grow no more, thickhead!

you have to change your routine when that happens, otherwise, don't expect progress anytime soon...

thus, for me to be sore each time is a sign of growth... my muscles had been subjected to a new stimuli and it's definitely scrambling to adapt.. but not so fast, ding-dong!

nuf with the rant, eh?

***

actually, i think better when i'm away from this paleolithic PC.. so that's exactly what i'm gonna do.. get away from this rubbish...

chillin' out.

dead eye

steroids!!!

steroids!!!

yeah, that's the buzz word in the gym lately... the pricks who had been yelling those doesn't have the slight idea how the person looks if he's on it. ahhh life...

"People are people so why should it be.. You and I should get along so awfully..." as Depeche Mode sung it... and nailed it!

oh well.

wonder how would those "fitness" people in some other gym react if they see somebody (like me, perhaps) hoist those heavy dumbbells or barbells up easily... they can shut their piehole cos they have no idea how hard it is and what work it took to get to that level of strength... you need to do a lot of reading, homie and then make your own body your laboratory... meaning experiment, capish?

the thought of top bodybuilders dying at a very young age due to steroid use or getting sooo sick because of that darn "special supplement" just scares the crap out of me... i'm getting stronger, alright but i ain't have that body of a bodybuilder yet... y'know, that well sculpted, cut and dry physique..

no plans to be like that... i'm taking the long and hard way.. doesn't matter.. this isn't some kinda race, right?

slumbery and out.

Whack Outs!

i was at CITOM earlier this week and as i was walking around their vicinity, i saw these vehicles and i thought i should snap 'em up... i'm always on the road almost everyday... this things are "peanuts" to me.. i've witnessed even worst.. so if i get to snap more, i just might make a blog for these whack out vehicles..

by the way, i checked the mileage of that underbone bike and the poor thing only had around 300kms on its speedometer.. whew! tough luck.

wonder what happened to the driver, huh?

Bruce Almighty

wow!!

this week was hell..

glad it was over.. after sweating it out under the sun, got a few things at work done.. happy me!

a few weights had been lifted off my shoulders.. i hope it'll be smoother next week.. ok, lemme try again... that i'll be even more brawny over whatever comes my way.. so help me God.

***

it's summer and so many invitations comin' my way... beach everywhere, huh?

nice.. nice..

last Sunday we did went to the beach "cos it's Easter Sunday and we really need to be at some beach" during that day.. well, i knew we were looking for trouble cos that's what millions of people think too... take a dip!

and so it was one helluva pain to look for a "decent" place to "sink and swim."

parking was heavy and some resort actually had to turn down many beach-goers cos they could not accommodate more people in..

we found one a few kilometers away from our usual beach destination.. kinda weird cos this beach isn't full yet.. i think most people don't know it's a resort as it had a peculiar setting... just.

anyway, lucky us... but we just settled for the "table and chairs" package as these SOB businessmen charges ridiculous rental fees during the season... dontcha just wanna bury those pricks, eh?

i'm a little picky when it comes to beaches... if it ain't deep enough or near-immaculate, i'd rather "people-watch" or just hang around drinking cheap brandy.. sooo much better, mate!

but what i really like is to island hop... the beaches on the other side are much clearer and if you opt to stop a few meters away from the shore, ocean deep, honey!

we didn't have that yet but i think before this summer's over, we'll most likely have done it.

***

i have standing invites from Sales to go out tonight in some "night swimming and drinking galore" but i'd most likely not butt in.. another invite from a good friend and one of our manager, Eugene, that we'd hit the beach tomorrow... of course, there'd be a lot of drinking rampage and excessive indulgence of food... knowing him, he just loves to eat you can tell just by looking at his humungous frame.. loony me, i'm unperturbed.

oh shit, i just elevated my "anti-social" status to a few notch higher.. whatever.

i guess this is it. my social life, as i had projected it, will continue to slip little by little until nobody gives a damn about inviting me.. oh, i didn't made it to my friend's wedding last month too.. great!!

talk about nosedive... pity.

sorry.. sorry.. sorry.. my sincere apologies to you all..

keep your parties up while i sulk in the gym... i want it, i like it, i meant it this way...

i'd like to hang around people who will accelerate my progress, not stand in my way. partying up (and the likes) will definitely hamper whatever growth i accrued..

hhhhmmmm... next thoughts please!

***

now for the gym story, i think i won a few fans yesterday when i started doing my thing.. hehe

particularly this Japanese guy who trains with his Filipina wife and some relatives.. he got the surprise of his life when i started benching 200lbs. and then right after, without taking a rest i hoisted the heaviest dumbbells up for my incline press routine... not only that, i went on to deadlift over 200lbs. and top it all doin' dumbbell rows! all this i did in almost zero to nil rest... how ya like that, huh?

he was pretty impressed he had to clap and cheer me up for my reps.. personally, i've been to many gyms before, but modesty aside, i have yet to see one who works out as hard as me... and, the results are coming in, baby!

i'm looking boxy these days...

Good Time = Just Messing Around

and then last night, i paid a visit to my barber.. the best part of our session usually happen towards the end as he usually gives me a nice "quickie" massage to my back and arms... whenever he does that he'd usually ask me if i'm still "working out."

to sorta give him a "good time," i'd usually say nope i've been off of it and all i've been doing is now "drink, dine and be merry..."

"you're kidding, right?" he asked after going through my arms.. i'm close to burst in laughter here but i had to hold it off... and when he pressed into my traps, i can almost hear him say, "you messin' with me, boy?"

anyway, he went on and even had the gall to ask me if i could flex my biceps.. i bet what's playing on his mind at that moment was what i'm saying couldn't be further from the truth.. and i sheepishly went on and gave him a fake squeeze.. damn, the prick ain't buyin' it.. haha!

note: after frying my biceps last Wednesday, it had grown wickedly big as of this writing.

so our session went on and he told me he had a size 16' biceps and i kept on patronizing him (for "good time" sake) that yeah, he's got some big bi's, eh! "mine is probably smaller than yours, Bruce..." i aversely told him. and he said, "your forearms are probably bigger than mine.."

Bruce.. Bruce.. you pansy! you have no friggin' idea what i do for pastime, bhoy!

here's a sneak peek, picture this: you'll be gasping for air, in pain, sweating like hell and it surely ain't fun most of the time...

but i do it anyway.

next time i get a haircut everything will be bigger and harder Bruce... and i'm still gonna give you s'more good time... heee heee heee

hope you're ready, homes!

but i dig thee great Bruce...

and my barber, Bruce...

they're both entertaining.

gross

still busy, homs..

am still trying to get my bearings with the added work i have to do.. not to mention, i'm still bangin' irons like hell.. i just scorched my biceps yesterday.. fried would be an understatement..

i'm still focused with all these training thingy.. this is definitely one area i can go on doing forever..

meanwhile, i am doing something nice but on the other hand i'm a total failure.. gotta get this balancing act together or it'll be a disaster in the making when the time comes... geez, you wouldn't wanna know the "juicy" details, i bet..

baffled

today i'm gonna be calm.

i don't have a lot of words for you all.

i don't really feel like writing here.. honest.

i think i will be “lost in the vast abysses of space and time...”

i'm truly and honestly bored with work right now.. but i have to pay the bills..

i have to send my son to school..

i have to feed my family...

and that includes the dogs..

so even if i'm not happy with where i am now, i am stuck.

but...

"Success may be the ability to be happy with whatever we're stuck with." says Marilyn vos Savant

... in contrary, i'm no longer happy with my work... therefore, i'm a failure.

i just want to do something else now... something "i want" and "i like..."

"i love" is even better..

ahhhh, the dramz of life..

other than that, everything is still "normal.."

but...

"Normal is not something to aspire to, it's something to get away from." says Jodie Foster

oh life... is there anything out there waiting for me?

first, the yummy!

Halo Gov. Eliot!!!

Halo New York!!!

***

it's weekend and this post is for the money shot..

ok, i have yet to earn some money from this... so, me, good luck!

***

this week had been pretty..

tough.

my job is gonna be tougher as the day comes by.. i expect a more gruesome days in the future it's gonna be bloody hell.. tell ya that!

but if it couldn't kill me, it should hardened me, eh?

i don't think i wanna say "bring it on!" anytime soon cos the last time i did that, some force of nature actually made it happened... this time i'd say, "gimme s'more strength, good Lord!"

***

i'm on my second week since i took a week off and i'm happy to report that everything is working out fine.. strength-wise it's all good and so are the joints, tendons and everything in between..

i discovered a new technique.. and i'm lovin' it!

but it's "top secret" as of the moment.

***

just to let you know (yet again), i don't forward forwarded messages especially those crappy ones that says if i don't forward it to ten of my friends i'll receive some bad luck... right. great. perfect. spamming. annoying.

comprende?

***

hhhmmmmm.. forums? i guess i got burned from it recently and i bet everyone who was with me in "that" forum also got burned.. once bitten, twice shy... or was it once bitten, get a shot? hhhmmmmm..

kinda. sorta.

i'm just gonna back away from it for a while... someday.. maybe..

***

yes, i hate it when this quote happens in a bad way, "when it rains, it pours." cos it's been happening lately to me.. the problems i'm having these days, you don't wanna know... i'm just gonna suck it up.. as always!

by the way, John Mayer is a deep man.. deep.. love that guy.. he's my man-crush!

there ya go.. an admission... i am ghey!!

It's never too late to be who you might have been. — George Eliot

got this from TNation today... i gotta ask, are you talking to me, sir?

i'm on the crossroads right now thinking and contemplating of my future.. i'm just waiting for the right moment...

pondering s'more..

24

so, here's how it all came down...

woke up around 4:40am.. took a quick sip of coffee.. i had everything i needed prepared the night before. all i need to do now is take a quick bath, dress up and well, get them all together.

5:15am.. it was still dark as our place isn't in a plush subdivision.. in other words, we don't have those dang lamp post like your place has.. anyway, i'm prepared to break somebody's face if someone dares... i guess they're too scared to try.. i'm scared of me either.. hehe.. joke.

just a few meters of walking, felt a pang of pain somewhere in my diaphragm.. you know, that kinda pain you get when you sprint but you're not used to running.. try that and you'll know what i mean..

anyway, it didn't go away.. but the pain was bearable as it didn't worsen.. just a bum feeling though..

man, my walkman phone ain't no good either.. something's wrong with the cable and it can only produce a mono music.. since i'm already ficked anyway, might as well get on with it and just finish the whole ordeal with whatever crap i'm dealing with..

around 6:18am i'm already halfway through.. my sweat's breaking out like hell... oh, i was wearing a jacket, by the way... and it's all sweaty now.

7am and it's not about to get easier.. it's an uphill battle royale, baby!

this is the time when i started to think about all the "why's" in the world i can muster and reasoned it out with me and myself...

why am i doing this crap?

why my friggin' left foot hurts when i'm wearing a supposed "balance" shoes?

why don't i just get a ride already and end the suffering?

why not stop for a few minutes and rest?

man, man, man!!!

WHY??????

.... and before i knew it, i arrived.

but since i didn't have my ride (a motorcycle, if you've been in the cave) and i thought i can still go walk, after office hours, i went on and walk some more.. what the heck, i already did the hard part, this should be a breeze, i thought.

it wasn't.

but i went on and finish my lenten sacrifice... yeah, now i understand why i'm doing this crazy sh!t! this is my sacrifice!!!

whoa!

now i can drink all the beers and gorge on some barbecues, roasted pig and eat 'til i drop, eh?

yeah right, like i would!

lesson learned:

one, don't be stupid walking around after you had leg exercise the day before... especially when it was a heavy session;

two, if you can, try not bring a lot of stuff with you.. it just make things heavier;

three, make sure you have a nice music player.. it gets boring out there;

four, keep your eyes on the road especially when you reach those traffic jammed area.. you could be side swept by those idiot and sleepy drivers, pun intended;

five, i'm really tired of giving you advices, so why don't you just go do it yourself and find out what you need and what's it like out there, huh?

my PC still sucks so that explains why this post is full of horse bleep!!

so, you feel me?

walking tall

updated

a couple of things:

first, i walked the talk... but as fate would have it my left foot suffered some blisters in the toe area.. hurt a bit but it didn't stop my resolve to continue with my quest... there ya go.. my contribution to clean and green environment.. so i didn't made it back and forth (home-office-home) but i walked all the way to SM from work! that is still an hour of walking through pain, my man... and i was right on the money when i estimated that it'll take two hours to complete the gruesome ordeal of walking from home to the office.. i am mighty proud of that prediction!

your turn, bubba!

second, my legs hurts now, thank you... it's either the walk caused it or it could be that i squatted "like there's no tomorrow," as my gym mates would call it, last Tuesday... i guess the leg work is the culprit behind the quad pains.. i hit it hard and heavy i was close to limping on my way out of the gym.. but that's just the way i roll there.. so sue me!

ok, not just a couple but more things, i suppose.

work is so much harder these days.. meaning, more work, more pressure, more stress... lesser time for "fun and play" and of course, still less wages..

my home PC is now ficked!

and so is my office PC... what more tragedy could possibly come my way, huh?

i'd love to talk s'more but as usual, i'm plagued with roadblocks after roadblocks... you have no idea how hard it is to deal with.. life without all these complication's gotta be boring.. so bring 'em on!

anyway, more talk later.

walk of life

*sneeze!!!*

well, that's all i have now.. but not totally one hundred percent yet.. better than being totally knocked on bed, eh?

anyway, i had my initial walking test last Sunday. what, you didn't know? i'm gonna walk from home all the way to work, health and weather permits, tomorrow morning!!

weeeee!!!!

it will be dub as, "A walk to remember.." booohooo!!! copycat!

heeee!!

but yeah, i initially tested my feet, the joints, knees and everything in my lower body.. that is, if i could sustain the whole ordeal.. i was walking from the Talamban church and was planning to cap 'em, the walking thingy, right at the door of SM Mall 'til wifey and the rest of my homie (this, i mean the people who lives in our home.. whatdyathink?) caught up with me in Subangdaku, Mandaue area.. well, they attended a mass, while i took a hike.. approximately one hour and thirty minutes.. that's what it took to get me from point A to point B.

everything checked out fine the next morning... no pain, no sore.. perfect!

given the distance of my workplace all the way from home, i'd probably complete it in about... uhm, two hours??

roughly.

but that's not all!

on my way home, i'm gonna walk again.. how you like that?

otherwise (meaning, some toenails got mangled or bones broke lose), i can always take the shorter route.. wifeys working place.. then, i could just ride along with her..

i'm really, really running low on gasoline money these days.. i could use the savings y'know.. besides, it's also my way of helping the environment.. clean and green baby!

ahhhh, whatever.

anyway, "A walk to remember.." will commence at zero five hundred hours (5am) tomorrow...

can't wait...

i'm so excited...

damn, i'm actually worried!

but i'm doin' it.

... as long as i'm alive

flu and fever caught me.. but i'm fine now..

*cough*

*cough*

*sniff*

*sniff*

yeah, never been better.. just like brand new..

*BIG CouGH!!*

anyway, the weather had been crazy the last few days.. i wasn't really thinking of me being hit by the bug.. ya know, all that workout, training and the supplements i've been popping.. i am invincible, homie!

err, at least, i thought i was...

still human here...

but, all that bed rest and just chilling out at home pretty much fixed me.. practically, with no medication whatsoever.. and yep, drank lotsa water too!

time to hit it cos tomorrow... it'll be a brand new day!

yawn..

IRON MAN

this should be fun...

taper down

today was "no lift day."

i learned my lesson the hard way... now, i'm very careful with my routine.. pacing.. bubba... that's what you call pacing.. besides, my quads, hamstrings and biceps are pretty sore right now.. they must be growing, huh?

but, i hit the abs instead. t'was a quick work, actually. i did a giant set all for abs alone.. leg raise, crunches, sit-ups, lateral bending, etc... in sequential order for three sets each..

tomorrow, it'll be all out again...

goof, signing out.

friend in deed

burp!!

just had my post workout meal.. whole wheat bread with peanut butter. yum!

since i started this whole training thing, i've been saying "No" more often to my friends' invites... to drink or dine.. whatever!

from then on, my cellphone's text messages from friends had been steadily dwindling.. of course, why would you wanna invite somebody, who declines most of the time, some "good time" trip, eh?

well, i expected that. in fact, i wanted that to happen.. and it did.

for the past few years, i've been on the other side of the "sphere" trying to discover what and how it is to be "Livin' La Vida Loca" kinda life.. but i got burned.. bored.. sick.. tired and felt empty living life like that.. i wanted some change.. a turnaround.. a new perspective.. a direction..

so thanks MTV for pimpin' my life!

haha!!

but yes, gotta thank all that happened before that made me decide to be where i am now.. it's not perfect and there's still a whole lot of work and kinks to iron out, but this is much, much better than where i was before wherein i've pretty much got myself into some deep, dark hole it was almost impossible to come out in one piece.. i'd like to believe that i am a survivor and i had come around just in time to save my sorry arse from self destruction.. thanks, good Lord!

nuff with the pep talk, sugar..

now, update for the second day of training.. wrist was awesome today.. did some beach workout.. gotta get those biceps up and growing.. worked the legs too.. t'was intense but had to keep myself in check all the time... i might overdo things again and hurt somethin'.. don't want that to happen this early.. keep it short and sweet.. that's my new motto.

yawn, time to be in the land of Nod, catch some shuteye, sleep like alogrocktop, sleep tight...

for tomorrow..

i will dine...

in the gym!!

wish my gym looked like that... but it's better that nothing, mimi..

gettin' down to business

finally, i came around.

uhm, in the gym?

i couldn't make it yesterday cos i lost a lot of time doin' some things "on the side." but today, i finally did. it went great as i didn't lose any strength whatsoever... the pain is gone and i did the whole session hard and fast!

i kept my sets to four and my repetitions were limited between five to ten... gotta save the joints, baby.. my idea before was do too much volume and repetitions so i could get some "cardio" while doing strength training... it was actually right in some way but i can actually do the same if i limit my rest and work antagonistic muscles in between sets.. i think i've discovered the right mix of doing things around the gym... thanks to the www...

more intense training comin' up in the days to come..

Heart and thoughts they fade... fade away

i sooooo love this!!

piercing

man, after brushing my teeth last night it pained and it didn't stop 'til hours ago... what the???

i'm never a fan of pain killers but i gotta pop one cos my head just ached like forever...

anyway, the long overdue and well-deserved break from the gym had to happened. i've been planning and planning and if my shoulder didn't send me some of those weird soreness signal, i would have continued plowing down those damn irons..

i hope the rest was enough for my shoulder and wrist joints to recuperate in time..

now, this is exciting...

whatever

Dental caries

earlier, i had a different kind of pain. my molar needs some repair.. while i'm at it, i had my teeth cleaned... feels free now with all the plaque and decay removed.. dang, it hurt a lot when the dentist did some drilling in there to sorta remove the rot/s in it... shesh, the pain was almost unbearable at first but later on it felt better.. gotta take care of your teeth, dawg or you'll end up like me, drilled!

shoulder's feeling better, thank goodness.. i was losing my patience a few days ago.. what the hell it would take to make the friggin pain go away, but, it's looking good now... i soooo miss the gym already.. can't wait to get down to business and chow down those irons.. for real.. dimwit!

come monday, i'll test the joints if its good to go.. just some light training and build my base from there... i know my legs are pretty strong so i'll probably hit 'em hard and good..

now, it's almost summer and i can't wait to see this...

... in the beaches....

oh yeah!

makin' repairs..

how you like the new banner, eh?

still on "healing mode" these days... gotta take my time.. chill.. hibernate.. learn.. roll.. though patience isn't one of my virtues, now is the time to "practice" it.

more thoughts later.. my friggin PC here ain't no good for viewing.. just huge video display (icons, letters and graphics) cos our IT galz haven't found the damn driver of this relic machine... talk about low-tech and old school, hombre... this here fits the description...

tea time!

blogger, on.

it's tough these days... personally and physically, that is. oh, i'll have to keep 'em to myself at the moment.

my shoulder's prognosis (coming from yours truly, of course) ain't too good either. pain is still there but i believe it's slowly subsiding... i have faith it'll be healed and by monday i'll start grinding again, but i'll be wiser this time..

meanwhile, gotta deal with personal issues, bud.

off.

back burner

my right shoulder's pain hasn't gone away yet.. i dunno why.. shhoooo!!!

i guess now is the time to fall back a little bit. it's been almost a year that i have been bangin' iron practically straight up.. as in no break at all!

and now, the nagging pain hasn't subside yet... worst, i tried to swim a few laps in the pool earlier and i may have aggravated the darn injury s'more... talk about some tough luck, huh?

i'm looking at a week or two (please God not two weeks) of not lifting or doing anything to bug it, cos lately, it's really, really starting to annoy me.

i guess all that "300 Quest" has to take a back seat for now... so frustrating, tell you that...

i need to plan my gym routines so this chicken sh!t injury won't happen again in the future.. i think i'm doing too much overhead pressing for months now... my quest for a nice and shapely shoulders and chest burned me down in the end, i guess..

training instinctively, that was my program... i need to write it all down so i don't burnout again... strategize.. strategize.. strategize..

meanwhile, AaAaAaAaRrRrRrGgGgGgGg!!!!!!

yeah, it hurts like that.. ouch!

i'm bored.

bored. bored. bored.

but maybe it's just today. i don't feel like posting anywhere.. heck, even reading can be monotonous...

but i'm happy to see this guy do front squatin' some friggin ridiculous weight.. gotta do that stunt someday...

oh well...

fiddle-faddle

hello..

anybody out there?

it's dark in here...

actually, i'm on "reading mode...."

not much to post..

my right shoulder is now in pain.. that's some news...

the wear and tear bug caught up with me..

like a million times already...

thanks to my new gear..

a wrist support..

i can pull things better in the gym now...

even some gym-ass' hair...

kidding...

i'm about to hit the sack...

... and i'm writing this stupid post...

got my biceps pumped to the max earlier...

so it'll look something like below in the future....

aloha!!!

Monday, February 18, 2008

yesterday's workout was short but sweet. i should be doing that kinda workout in the future... got my chest, shoulders and triceps fried doing tri-sets.. shortened my rest periods and was in burst mode the whole time..

anyway, can't talk much cos i'm in the middle of a "situation" that needs to be dealt with accordingly... as in pronto!

so chao!
