it's been a while... i know.
working smart isn't working well for me these days.
i gotta grind through my teeth to get things done. literally.
definitely, the stress factor had been bumped up to the roof!
i hope i can finish up everything so i can quit after this year. i've accumulated enough know-how in the trade to start my own little "business".
yep, i hope to start next month... i don't care if that means i'll double the stress. i gotta go out and test the waters while i'm still a 'hotshot'. once i'm unserviceable, it's game over for me.
yeah, it's out now... better commit.. get rich now.. or die trying. hah!
my little angel is going to school.. finally!
can't believe how time flies. once upon a time, she was just a little baby that i didn't want. now, she's all grown up and eager to learn.
love her more everyday...
neil is a teenager too! today, we just went riding motorcycles together getting the bikes tuned and repaired.
he can really step up when the situation calls for it. well, he learned driving my bike by himself... when i accidentally left the key, that is.
me and him have this elaborate plan hatched together when we finally dive into this thing called entrepreneurship.
here's hoping it'll push through and work out as planned.
in times of hardship, there's definitely an opportunity on the horizon. sometimes, we just need to get to that point in order to look outside the box.
these ebooks and audiobooks that we've immersed ourselves into, they are awesome!
i wish i had the time to read 'em and listen when i was at neil's age.
but, it's never too late to start, right jim? brian? and everyone else?
anyhow, prepare! the day of the reckoning is at hand!
it's time to...

my, my..
this evening workouts has taken a toll on my sleep pattern. it's been days since i've been having sleeping problem!
had some solid thoughts earlier.. as useless, it got caught in the wind, damn! i bet if i think hard enough i could remember..
oh yeah, some people work really hard. nothing wrong with that except that it's stressful. i know a few people who do and they barely play.. it's all work, work, work.
my job, it requires a lot of working hard. i know a lot of people in my line of work who quit or gone rouge on the company they work for. they could not handle the stress.
most of them work in tandems. it's the best set-up. one takes care of the office work, the other goes out to the field to transact or process the documents.
i have managed to stay on this job for years and still can afford to "play" like workout or just chill... you know how i do it?
it's the smart.
i adhere to that saying that goes "work smart not hard."
even though i'm the only one who does everything, i got it all figured out, thanks to the good Lord above.
my system is pretty simple. i had a trainee a few months back. he's gonna be assigned to another branch and boy did he had a hard time grasping my way of doing things. he had some foul-ups along the way because he could not follow simple instructions.
and another principle i really, really like - K.I.S.S.
no, not the make out one you horny punk!
it's Keep It Simple, Stupid.
you'll accomplish more things by getting down to the basics.. when you complicate matters, you'll end up with nothing.
my son, Neil likes to complicate things. he's being philosophical as of late and i go, why are you having a hard time figuring things out, it's not rocket science?
it's the generation gap. i know.
anyway, i have to make an impression to him. ya know, give him the proper tools so that when he's all grown up, he would rather choose the path that's best for him. if i've been through that road before and i know it ain't good for him, i'd tell him.
he's a good boy though. he listens. if i would compare myself to him before when i was at his age, he is definitely way, way better than me. but, there's a good reason why we're not at par... it's something i would rather forget.
pep talk is over, i feel drowsy now thanks to GrandMa.
ciao!

ya better run!
the internet had gone berserk again.. going on and off for days. sucks!
***
work volume had gone up considerably these days. it's a good thing i've set-up a some sorta system so that no matter how huge of a sale we make, it's all go on my end.
*****
been able to run a tad longer now. then, on HIIT, i'm scaling back to the speed i used to kill before. hope to keep it up... it's not all roses to tell you frankly.. but, it's getting better.
better post this before the effing connection goes off again!
anyway, bought Neil a new guitar. plays really nice... and expensive! when sister had a vacation a few months ago, she bought him one. after a few months, he's gotten really good at it.. pretty much beat me on some tunes! his guitar tho, well, it's quite worn out now. but still playable.
this new one, it's more than twice expensive but plays twice better too! i kinda enjoy playing guitar again. Neil would most likely surpass me, my li'l bro, Alan (who plays flawless guitar!) and my buddy, Earl. he's just fourteen and he's playing cool tunes now. he's got some good licks and plucking too! to think he's just playing for almost three months now.. he'd probably beat John Mayer when he's fully grown up.

marry the night
we was gonna go party-party tonight but my pal had me waiting for hours, motha... no can't be. honestly, i look forward to weekends since i've started going out again a few months back. i'm kinda awed when i see them beautiful ladies ramping around waltzing on our way.. really, it's like all these flashy cars such as a lambo or a porsche or them h1's or that lincoln stretch, man, you only see them beauties at night!
i kinda feel young again and my heart beats as fast as 'em that furious flick...
but waiting isn't one of my best virtues. i just go impatient and bored... i think about my little baby and i feel really bad that i'm wasting away time being away from her sweet little smile (though i was watching that documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. an eye opener. you should watch it) whilst waiting for his shift to conclude... feels like a desperate girlfriend waiting for Romeo to finally arrive.
so yeah, i go "lets do this some other time, bud." besides, there's still work tomorrow and we'd usually finish our little adventure in the wee hours of the morning... usually hammered and all, as useless.
i can, though, trade all that fun with a simple cuddlin' with my little baby or spend it with my grown up kid, Neil messing with them bad guys playin' Call of Duty. we kinda compete who gets to win or has more kills... while i sip some GrandMa.. no, that grandma, ya creep, it's that brandy!
anyhow, when time and opportunity permits, i'd still go out and hang around... strut 'em biceps for all to see.. ha ha!!
speaking of biceps, i haven't done any direct bicep exercise for, like a month or two now. i've focus on getting my bench numbers up.. i gotta say, i've upped my stats on that lift and not only that, i've somehow perfected the proper form of doing it. i can honestly say that before this year ends, notwithstanding injuries or whatnot, i'm gonna hit 250 pounds... that's my modest forecast. and that 120 pounds of dumbbells sitting around there barely used, it'll be mine... i will own that darn weight.
so God help me.
now that i've mentioned God, though there were times i doubted Him, i gotta say that when i called His name for help (aren't we like that? calling God when we're stuck on a foxhole or in difficult times?), He almost always does.
thank you, thank you good Lord above.

yo mah angel
how time flies, yeah?
mah baby is gonna be two year years old in like days. seems t'was just yesterday when she came to us and we were all messed up with her crying and all... how're we supposed to take care of this baby that we didn't even plan to have?
to be honest, we're just glad to have her around.. even with all things considered (read: time, effort, sleepless nights, expense, etc.), she just made our home exciting again... Neil is growing up fast and he's not cute anymore, sadly haha!
our little Angel is quite cuddly and affectionate.. ya know, she just loves to be carried around the house.. amazing how i can go lift heavy ass weight and kill it in the treadmill or other cardio machines, but when i carry her, i tire out rather easily. she's getting heavier everyday, by the way!
you know what time it is? it's twenty hundred hours (20:00). i'm gonna be doing leg work tomorrow with all the squattin' and pain in between. it'll be glutes, hamstrings and quads.
yes, it's twenty hundred and five hours now.. am way pass my beauty sleep. LOL!
i'm gonna be watching some

Happy Halloween!
how was your halloween? good? great!
just like the years went by, i had the same old, same old experience. with my boring in-laws, as usual.
thanks to the addition of my little baby, Angel Mitch, it was a tad fun to go around the cemetery. she's getting bigger and a lot lot more pesky and restless. she wants to move around all the time when you put her down. still, she's cute when she does all that.
i gotta say she's got a lot of zest in her. she's just moving all the time, talks a lot and she actually interacts when you talk to her... i guess i'm surprise since what, Neil is now thirteen years old so you can imagine how old, err, i mean how it's been a long, long time ago since we have a baby around.
everything is just, to me, a discovery yet again.
i'm really just posting something so i can greet ya for the holiday.. actually, i'm effing toasted again for doing a lot of exercises for my legs and triceps this morning... argh!
chillin' out.

of graduation, booze and the children
soooo effing tired today.
at this early, dreamland is tempting.
that had been life for me this far... it's peaks and valleys.. then downhill all the way!
some people are gonna get bored living this way. i ain't though.
i mean, i had my time partyin' it up.. going places.. adventure.. the lot!
this is me now.
guess i'm getting old. no more energy. zest for fun, zit!
i don't even play PC games anymore, WTF?
most of my beer bud, gone.
perfect!
i was at the grocery earlier and was watching all those beer-in-cans, ya know, the six packs, then passed by the liquor area.. thought half a sec - then went straight to the beverage section and got me some Chuckie. that yum-yum chocolate milk drink, that's what i'm pouring in my cup right now.
anywho, alcohol is bad for recovery as it increases cortisol, that muscle wasting hormone that does nothing good to your physique, so better avoid it especially these days when i'm supposed to waste lotsa fat and keep 'em muscles.
i'm not saying nada tho.. i just had some rum-soda last thursday as it's my officemate's son graduation. "drink moderately" was in effect that night. LOL
meanwhile, Neil graduated from elementary too. boy, the kid is a handful, tell ya that. i hope he'd find something good where he can focus his attention to and not on something useless.

i dunno but maybe my little angel mitch is also one of the driving factor of why i'm "cool" these days.. meaning, i'm not partying up and go crazy. instead, i've been workin' hard, exercise, rest well and do something meaningful in life rather than waste away in reckless abandon and not a care in the world.

dunzo.

'Tis the Season
well.. well..
Merry Christmas!!
belated, yeah.
my Christmas wasn't exactly the way i want it to be.. i wanted it to be quiet. no fuss.. no visitors (bwisitors to be precise), no videoke.. no loud bangs, bangs..
ya know, simple.
i'm not a relative of The Grinch, but yeah, i kinda find it hard to be on a 'celebrating' mode when lotsa people's got no food on their table.
but they won't have it tho. them wifey and her baggages.. go figure!
long story, short - i was bored.
anyway, Christmas is ain't about me, you or anybody else but Christ.
so, Happy Birthday, Jesus!!!
~~~
meanwhile, it's almost New Year.. i still feel the same.. to keep it simple.
no big bangs of firecrackers which by the way, lotsa kids suffered mishaps last Christmas eve.
kids.. kids.. they're getting out of control these days. i mean, whatever happened to them, huh?
i'm speaking as a parent having a first-hand experience. it's not like i can look for my son the whole time cos i gotta bust my chops out there so i can feed this family.. having a "career" wife just makes it worst. she just don't have that motherly nurturing my kids need.
the baby is now one and she spends more time with her yaya (babysitter) than her mah... wifey's like she's just gotten out the cage or off the leash that she's on a roll having fun most of the time spending more time with her friends even on weekends... sigh.. whatta predicament, yeah?!?
i can't blame her entirely.. since time immemorial, i've been content spending time indoors than go out.. well, i've done all (almost, i guess) sorts of crazy things saved for bungee jumping and skydiving, so i kinda lost that zest for adventure.. not to mention, i gotta stay in one piece cos i can't think for myself anymore as now many people depend on me.
the only time i get to risk a bit or do some stupid shit, albeit controlled, is when i'm in the gym.
otherwise, i'm too careful... driving, drinking or just plainly going through the day. i barely socialize or go out with friends... there were plenty of parties and invites when december came in, i opted not to expound whenever the subject is discussed.
if you've been reading the news, so many unfortunate things happened outside cos people these days are getting more crazy and daring.
besides, i'm not getting any younger.
so, i'm either right or i've become withdrawn and/or boring.
anyhoo, i think i've posted long enough, yet i still have more shiz to spill later on.. my brain is about to explode so i'd rather zip it.
flat tire
aloha!
i know i suck.. my apologies.
got tied down with a shitload of work, what else?
oh yeah, i'm still bustin' my balls in the gym, thank you.
i'm on double-split routine 'til Neil starts goin' to school next month. meaning, early morning and at evening time i'll eat iron for two straight days then chill... hmmmm.. not really, no weights, but instead, i hit the treadmill or abuse the elliptical machine.. the latter's pretty intense, tell ya that.
lotsa work stressed me out real bad this week... i practically dreamt of 'em.. it's like having a nightmare, mate.
one by one they all fall down (read: fixed) but another one pops up again.
when the dust settles, promise i'll do better in this part of place.
it's just that i'm ready to hit the sack when i'm home.. pretty much like an old fart these days... gotta get that beauty sleep, and early.
later guys, gals and gheyz.. pillow and bed calling...
ZZZzzzzzz...
beee zeee
yowsa!
after a long weekend, i got a plateful of work waiting on my table.. geez!
thus.
well, it was nice there.. ya know, the beach we spent our saturday and easter sunday.. t'was surprisingly peaceful while the rest of the beach nearby, or the beach near our place was pretty crowded and rowdy.. whaddya expect? it's summer and an easter, homs..
unfortunately, we came with lotsa excess baggage.. not to mention, the company wifey choose to hang out with, they're kinda 'different.' apples and oranges, anyone?
i didn't got drunk even with the two cases of beer we brought along.. almost fifty bottles to be precise.. tsk.. tsk..
well, made up for the lag time swimming -- a lot.. the resort is equipped with a pool and a mini-gym.. they should've called it tiny-gym.. cos it's soooooo tight there.. at least i had a few good sets.. work with whatever you have, right?
gawd, i miss the beach, so i went down and smoke 'em away! ha ha!
surprisingly, i still have "it" even if it's been eons since i last dipped on a pool slash beach..
Neil had a blast! he's pretty confident with his strokes, ya know, that doggy kinda way of keeping yourself afloat.. he probably lost a few pounds hanging around the pool, like the whole day!
be back for more news... can't wait to watch this:
the planet
at 8:30 tonight, ya gotta turn off the lights for an hour... that's 20:30, military time.. this has something to do with some Earth day commemoration slash celebration mambo-jambo yet again thingy spearheaded by these so called "Environmentalist" wackos!
right.
maybe we should include a "No-Smoking" or "No using of Car, etc." day... what else? hhhmmmmm.. turn off everything that uses electricity, fuel, and whatnot.. then, we might save our dear planet.. not some half-ass turn-off the light whatchamacallit gloopy crap.. sorry for the word, earthlings.
i rest my case.
***
anyhoo, accompanied Neil to his circumcision yesterday... prior to that, he was all giddy that he's about to become a "man."
when t'was time to get "the cut," he freaked out and wanted to bail.. not so fast, boy!
the docs and i tried to calm him down to no avail.. 'til he got a taste of that anesthesia injection... he realized it wasn't that painful.. so, the doc went about the whole "operation." though not as seamless as i expected, overjoyed when it was finally over albeit a few jerking from Neil here and there.
so, my son, welcome to manhood, bhoy!
right.
fast and furious
i know i posted 'bout this bike before...but what can i say.. i miss it..
it eats rough road for breakfast... unlike my 'girly' bike now... so slow and hard on my spine... in short, crap!
***
Neil on his younger days...
now,he's about to go through circumcision... how time flies, yeh?
he doesn't wanna be called a "child" anymore... rather, a teen.. whatever kiddo!
